How the DMV works in Ohio
In Ohio, BMV license agencies (deputy registrars) handle licenses, IDs and registration. They're walk-in. Tests happen at driver exam stations, and vehicle titles at each county's clerk of courts title office. Here's how it works.

- 24 hours of class, 8 behind the wheel and 50 logged hours. Ages 18 to 20 too, since September 30, 2025.

- 75% to pass. You can take it online at home, twice in 6 months.
