How Ohio BMV's Get In Line Online works
Ohio BMV license agencies are walk-in; there are no appointments. Get In Line Online lets you join an agency's line from home and get texts as your turn gets close. Driving tests are booked separately.

Some renewals, reprints and address changes can be done online. Take our 4-question check first.

Join the line
Pick your agency on Get In Line Online, or join at the agency's kiosk or by its QR code. Some agencies post a phrase you can text to 24706.

Watch for texts
You'll get updates on your place in line. Texting STOP ends the messages but keeps your place; to cancel, find your ticket on Get In Line Online.

Driving test? Book it
Driving tests are scheduled on the BMV's online scheduler, at a driver exam station.
