    Stations in Bronx, Kings (Brooklyn), Nassau, New York (Manhattan), Queens, Richmond (Staten Island), Rockland, Suffolk (except Fishers Island) or Westchester can charge up to $27 for emissions; elsewhere, up to $11.

  2. 2Does it need an emissions test?

    Most cars do, including most diesel cars. Skip it for electric cars, historical plates, older or heavy diesels, and cars under 2 or over 25 model years old. Motorcycles have their own $6 inspection.
