Your first Georgia license
Within 30 days of moving. Bring these to a DDS center; then register your car at your county tag office.

Required before any center visit.
Your out-of-state license
You hand it in. If it's valid or expired less than 2 years, you take only a vision test.
Proof of identity
A certified birth certificate, a valid U.S. passport, or a naturalization certificate or green card. No translated documents.
Your Social Security number
Entered on the online form.
2 proofs of your Georgia address
Two documents from different sources with your name and Georgia street address, such as a utility or phone bill dated within the last 6 months, a lease or mortgage statement, or a bank statement.
Name change papers, if your name changed
Only if it applies
Such as a marriage certificate or court order linking your names.
For your car: MV-1, your title, T-22B and Georgia insurance
Only if it applies
At your county tag office within 30 days, with an emissions test in the 13 metro Atlanta counties.
