In person at a Driver Services Center, or a participating county clerk if you already have a Tennessee license.

One proof of citizenship or lawful status
A U.S. birth certificate, valid U.S. passport, green card or certificate of citizenship or naturalization, for example.
A document showing your full Social Security number
Your card, a W-2, 1099 or pay stub. Saying the number isn't enough for REAL ID.
Two proofs of Tennessee residency
Two documents with your name and Tennessee address, dated within the last 4 months: a utility bill, bank statement, mortgage, or a lease with a recent landlord letter, for example. No photocopies.
Name change papers, if your name differs
Only if it applies
A marriage certificate, divorce decree or court order.
