How Arizona MVD appointments work
Arizona's MVD offices take walk-ins, and AZ MVD Now books appointments for everything from renewals to road tests. About two thirds of MVD work can be done online, and private Authorized Third Parties do most of the rest, often evenings and Saturdays, for a convenience fee.

Book on AZ MVD Now to skip the line (you don't need an activated account), or walk in. Road tests always need an appointment; knowledge tests at an office don't.

Mind the calendar
Offices open at noon on the second Wednesday of each month and close on state holidays. MVD suggests avoiding the first and last two days of the month.

Or use a Third Party
Authorized Third Parties do most license, title and registration work, including many written and road tests, and add their own fee. Many open evenings and weekends.
