Arizona DMV fees

State fees set by Arizona law. Authorized Third Parties add their own convenience fee, which ADOT doesn't publish. Most of a registration bill is the Vehicle License Tax, which depends on the car's value.

Example from the law's formula: a car with a $30,000 base retail price pays about $504 of Vehicle License Tax in its first year and about $436 in its second.
MVD lists no sales tax on a private sale.
